The BAEF Scholars’ Program
The BAEF ScholarsŐ Program The BAEF ScholarsŐ Program

Through the Scholars’ Program the British American Educational Foundation (BAEF) has been providing the opportunity for Americans to study at British boarding schools since 1966. Working closely with each candidate and his or her family, the Foundation identifies the most appropriate school, helps secure admission, and provides its scholars with continuing guidance at school and on vacation in Europe.

The BAEF's Resources are unequalled for providing Scholars with a once-in-a-lifetime adventure combining academic challenge at a carefully selected school with the independence of being abroad, the experience of being immersed in the local traditions and lore of England, and the support of the BAEF's professional and experienced advisors close at hand.

Founded by a group of American alumni of British schools, the BAEF is a non-profit charitable foundation governed by a Board of Directors, comprised primarily of alumni, and a President. The U.S.-based Academic Director cultivates and

maintains ties with both British schools and American guidance counselors. Activities in London are overseen by a London Director .

BAEF Scholars have attended over 100 different

British schools. Among those most frequently attended: Benenden, Bryanston, Charterhouse, Cheltenham, Clifton, Cranleigh, Eastbourne, Eton, Gordonstoun, Haileybury, Harrow, King's Canterbury, Lancing, The Leys, Malvern, Marlborough, Oundle, Radley, Repton, Roedean, Sevenoaks, Uppingham, Winchester, Wycombe Abbey.
