How Do I Apply to the Gap Fellows Program?

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions about studying in Britain or about your eligibility for the Fellows Program. If you'd like to apply, the further in advance you contact us, the greater your options for finding the right position in intense competition.


Applying to the BAEF Gap Fellows Program is a five-step process:

  1. Contact the BAEF director to discuss your interests and possible openings.
  2. Arrange for your counselor to send directly to the BAEF:
    • your school transcript
    • two confidential recommendations (such as that used for college applications)
  3. Complete the Fellows Program Application, enclosing:
    • a resume of your activities
    • the application fee of $250
  4. The BAEF will then contact you to arrange for an interview, if possible in New York City or in our suburban New Jersey office. If necessary, interviews can be arranged with alumni living closer to your home or school.
  5. We will then match your skills and talents with those being sought by individual British schools.
