What Does It Cost?
At the present rate of exchange, a year at a British school costs about the same as one at an American boarding school— between $35,000 and $45,000 per year at the current rate of exchange for tuition, room and board. Air fare and vacation expenses are additional.
The BAEF charges an application fee of $250, a fee of $450 for evaluation and school placement (payable once a place is obtained in an agreed-upon school).
Scholarships in the form of partial tuition remission are sometimes available on the basis of merit or need at certain schools, but this aid is very limited.
